Model compositions primary 2 English: Going to the wet market

(By Adriel Koh)

The sun was an orange ball, resting on a bed of pillowy clouds. Doice, Grandmother and I were at the wet market shopping for groceries with our shopping trolley.

The place was teeming with life. The floor was perennially wet. There were patrons from all walks of life. The vendors spread their wares and were beckoning customers to buy them. There were fishmongers, fruiterers and green grocers.

We headed to the egg stall. There were mountains of egg cartons stacked neatly on the table. Dice wanted to purchase a dozen eggs. However, Grandmother decided to buy us chocolate-covered eggs from the sweets stall instead.

Doice and I devoured them as fast as lightning. Then, we helped to carry the rest of the groceries and headed home happily. This moment will forever he a part of my treasure trove of memories.
