Model Composition - A considerate act

Here is a model composition. It is a common theme for Primary 4, 5 and 6. The question set follows the PSLE 3 picture format. This sample composition serves as an example for students. You can use this as inspiration to write your own compositions.

A considerate act composition (Model composition)

It was a sultry, hot day. The sky was an azure blue and not a single cloud was spotted. The sun was a fireball in the sky. The train was as cold as ice, however, I was eager to enter the train as I was sweating buckets. It was a Saturday and being a busy bee, I was all around Singapore, running errands. I was looking forward to going home. My hands were full of shopping bags. The train was packed like sardines. My eyes scanned the area, hoping to find a seat. However, all the seats were occupied except for one. I made a beeline and plopped myself onto the seat. "Finally! I can relax for the next 30 minutes!" I whispered gleefully to myself. Little did I know, my happiness would be short-lived.

At first, everything was going smoothly. I was enjoying the ride while listening to music. The movement of the train was slowly lulling me to sleep. However, I was not prepared for the next moment. A heavily pregnant woman hobbled onto the train. All the reserved seats had been taken up! She had nowhere to sit! I was so exhausted that I wanted to continue sitting on my seat. Everyone was glued to their phones and some were pretending to be asleep. I avoided eye-contact and pretended to be asleep too.

However, what happened next was shocking! A sudden jerk caused everyone onboard to suddenly come tumbling down. Luckily, the heavily pregnant woman held onto the safety handles. Her face turned as pale as a sheet. She froze like a statue. The shopping bag she was carrying had fallen onto the floor. My face turned as red as a tomato. Feeling guilty, I decided to be considerate. I helped her by picking up her bag. I also offered her my seat.

The heavily pregnant lady gratefully accepted my offer. I helped her to the seat. "You are very considerate!" she praised me. I felt as proud as a peacock. I grinned from ear to ear. I learned an important lesson to always be considerate to people. Kindness makes the world go round.
